Roanfolk

I moved to North Carolina from my home state of sunny (read: humid) Florida in 2011 and never looked back. Since I was a kid, it's been a dream to move to the mountains. I'm not quite in the mountains, but distance makes the heart grow fonder, right? What all this really means, is I'm basically a resident tourist in NC. It's all kinds of fun.

By day, I make my money in the office administration field, but by night I love to find time to work on my artistic inclinations by practicing painting, drawing, and sewing. In the evenings I also enjoy vegging out on the couch with my favorite fellow/husband, Nick.

On the weekends we try to seek out adventure, which could be hiking or canoeing, or maybe just exploring used bookstores. We're working on saving up for a house, so I strive to find ways to keep the fun things in life without spending too much money. My current focus is creating art to decorate our apartment and make it feel more like home.
